Choosing boudoir outfits for your shoot is one of the most exciting parts of the process. But with hundreds of online boutiques selling lingerie and accessories—sometimes at very high price points—it can feel overwhelming to know where to start shopping. Boudoir sessions can be simple and just be about you also!
Whether you have hundreds of dollars to spend or none at all, you can find the perfect pieces for your boudoir session. Here are our favorite sources of boudoir lingerie.

Specialty Boutiques
When you first start looking for lingerie online, most of the results will likely be for brands like Victoria's Secret and Adore Me. There are also many smaller brands like Love & Lemons, Bluebella, and Moxy that specialize in lingerie.
These retailers usually have beautiful designs in a wide variety of colors and styles. However, they tend to be expensive.
Adore Me is on the more affordable side, with most pieces in the $30–40 range. Victoria's Secret comes in at about $70–80, and the smaller brands can run as high as $120 or more for a single piece.

Since these brands are usually the first ones that come up when looking for lingerie online, it can feel discouraging if you're on a tight budget. Luckily, there are plenty of other options.
Honey Birdette is one of our studio’s favorite lingerie stores, although they tend to start at $125+ for an outfit which can price some out. We do have these outfits in our boudoir studio so you are in luck if you are borrowing from our boudoir client closet (XS-3XL).
On the higher end of lingerie you can find Agent Provocateur, which will provide luxury boudoir outfits if money is no object.

Big Box and Department Stores
Stores like Target, Walmart, JCPenney, and Macy's all sell lingerie. If you want to see pieces in person instead of relying on photos, these are great places to look. A local favorite of ours is Patricia's in St. Charles. If you are looking for local plus size boudoir outfits, I would try Torrid which has sizes Medium-5XL.
They are also more affordable. Most of the lingerie from these stores falls in the $20–30 range.
That said, the selection tends to have less variety than what you'll find at a dedicated lingerie brand. You'll still be able to find multiple colors and materials, but the designs will usually be simpler.

Etsy
One place you might not expect to find boudoir outfits is Etsy. If you want a really unique piece or have a specific theme in mind for your boudoir shoot, you might have an easier time finding the right lingerie here.
I especially love some of the bridal pieces available.
The pricing and quality for lingerie on Etsy varies widely, so shop carefully.

The best way to save money on your boudoir shoot is to take advantage of the client closet. At Beauty in Boudoir, we have lingerie in sizes XS to 3XL, as well as shoes and accessories.
Access to the client closet is included in your session fee. You can mix and match pieces from your own collection with items from the studio, or get everything you need for your boudoir shoot here.
